The concept
Almost, Maine explores the extraordinary power of love in the everyday lives of average people. Whether it is beginning, flourishing, or ending, love is seen as a kind of magic in the story. With my design, I wanted to play with emotions and drive each scene to the feelings the audience should feel going into and leaving the scene. My music choices are mainly acoustic or instrumental and light to give that down-to-earth/rustic feel of the town and its people. The lyrics in the songs emphasize love and the act of just feeling.

VISUAL Inspiration
For this design, I researched small towns in Maine, ice skating, images of love, the Northern Lights, bars, and photography of people living in small towns. These allowed me to visualize the different settings from scene to scene, some of the characters, and cute photos that sparked joy.
